An architectural design and construction project is a complex process...we're here to guide you and your project to a successful conclusion.

RTA will coordinate every aspect of your project - from initial evaluations through completion of construction, providing solutions for you at every point along the way.

Starting with the initial meeting and continuing through close-out, the design and construction of your project moves through five phases:

Pre-Design/Preliminary Design (initial design conceptualization)
Design Development (detailed exploration of the design and materials)
Construction Documents (for bidding and construction)
Bidding/Negotiation (taking bids, negotiating the construction contract)
Construction Observation (quality control on site)

Within these phases we provide a wide variety of services addressing all aspects of the project including architectural design, interior design, finish and fixture selection and specification, cost estimating, and construction observation.

Architectural Design Philosophy

At Richard Taylor Architects, we design "from the inside out", meaning that the inspiration for the designs we create are taken from the lives, wishes, and dreams of our clients.

We start each custom home and remodeling project with a thorough exploration of your requirements for your home. This exploration begins the process of getting to know our clients; after all, the better we know you, the better the fit will be between your lifestyle and the home we design with you.

We draw inspiration from history, from our extensive experience, and from you.

Although we can, and often do, work within particular architectural styles, most of our home projects are "styled" after the personalities of our clients.

Our homes express, inside and out, images of comfort and home as our clients reveal them to us. We typically present several different schematic ideas of a project to our clients in our search for the perfect fit.
